First Hit!
We were nervous. Coach put him in the 3 spot. Coop could only hit the ocean if he fell out of the boat. But - here it is. His first hit.
He went 1 for 3, 2K and no errors. He's playing third base and he loves to field, scared to death to bat. His second game is tonight.
Here is what I like so far about our first baseball experience. His coach is teaching them to win as opposed to how to not lose. He's teaching them to swing, not take walks. He's a screamer but a good one. He's hollering "Way to go! Run! You can do it!" He laughs alot. He's teaching them to steal bases like crazy. He has two rules. Hustle all the time. Don't throw your bat or helmet when you mess up.
That's good advice for us all, ain't it?
